The Cancer Alternative Foundation is dedicated to helping cancer patients feel comfortable using nutrition and other alternative approaches to healing from cancer.
Our research is targeted at finding actionable alternatives.
We are actively working to integrate real alternatives into the standard of cancer care.
Our team is composed of seasoned, senior professionals with expertise in nutrition, scientific research, investigative journalism and meta-analysis.
What this means is that we explore nutrition, alternative medicine and other wholistic healing techniques that are presently outside formal medical practices.
Nancy Elizabeth Shaw, Founder
Our team is led by our Founder, Nancy Elizabeth Shaw, who has been engaged in researching the connection between food and longevity for more than 30 years.
What began as a quest for personal health in her teens became a lifelong interest in food sources and uses, cooking, lifestyle, health and physical/emotional/spiritual balance to created optimal longevity. Trained as a researcher and steeped in the academic tradition through her family background, Ms. Shaw used her research skills professionally to establish a strategy consulting practice in 1995, after a decade in Financial Services.
Her broad exposure to domestic and international business, her detail orientation and strong academic research skills forged the expertise that allowed her to develop The Cancer Alternative Protocol based on a three-year meta-analysis across many disciplines, building on the work of countless primary researchers, healing professionals and scientists.
Ms. Shaw directs ongoing research at the Foundation focused on the objective of controlling the progression of cancer through nutrition-based healing.
Still in an early stage of organizational development, the Foundation staff has been comprised of qualified volunteer researchers. When more substantially funded, the Foundation will employ a full-time team of researchers with similar expertise in investigative journalism, medicine, scientific research, nutrition, biology/biochemistry and other specialities that will allow comprehensive review of technical materials.
Ms. Shaw and the Foundation staff are supported by a network of medical professionals, nutrition specialists and natural healers. References available upon request.
